Delivery Policy

 

Dispatch of Orders

 

We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday.

  • Orders placed before 12:00 noon are usually dispatched the same day
  • Some orders may be dispatched the next working day due to operational or stock-related reasons
  • During busy periods or holidays, dispatch may take 1–2 working days

At checkout, you will be asked to select your preferred delivery option.

The Perfume Empire ships all EU orders via FedEx, chosen for their reliability and expertise in cross-border deliveries.

Please note that perfumes are classified as Dangerous Goods, which may result in transit delays. In such cases, The Perfume Empire cannot be held responsible for extended delivery times.

 

Important Delivery Notes
  • Delivery times are estimated and not guaranteed.
  • Orders may be delayed during Bank Holidays or peak periods
  • Orders outside the UK may experience delays beyond our control
  • If delivery cannot be completed, the courier may:
    • Leave the parcel in a safe place
    • Deliver to a neighbour
    • Return the parcel to a local depot

A card may be left with further details.

  • If an order is returned to us as undelivered, redelivery charges apply
  • If a refund is requested for an undelivered order, delivery charges are non-refundable
  • If part of an order is returned and the remaining value no longer qualifies for offers or free delivery, those benefits may be withdrawn
  • Refused or rejected deliveries are considered fulfilled; only the product cost will be refunded once returned

 

Please notify us as soon as possible if goods are lost or damaged in transit, quoting your order number.

Special delivery instructions can be added at checkout, but we cannot guarantee they will be followed. Instructions to leave parcels unattended cannot be guaranteed as many deliveries require a signature.

 

Returns Policy

 

In line with UK distance selling regulations, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery.

 

How to Request a Return

To arrange a return, please contact us by email and provide:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Order number
  • Product name
  • Reason for return

Once approved, you will receive return instructions.

 

Conditions for Returns

  • Items must be unused, unopened, sealed, and in original packaging
  • Items must be in a resalable condition
  • Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery
  • Items returned without approval may be refused

 

Return postage costs are the customer’s responsibility.

We strongly recommend using a tracked or recorded service and keeping proof of postage. Returned items remain the customer’s responsibility until received by us.

 

 

Non-Returnable Items

  • For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or used perfumes.
  • Custom-filled, personalised, or promotional item..
  • Items not in re-sellable condition.
  • Sale and discounted items.
  • Free gifts included with an order (these must also be returned if part of a return)

 

Refund Policy

  • Refunds are processed only after the item is received and inspected
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Refunds cover the price paid for the product only
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable, unless the item is faulty

Refunds are usually processed within 7 working days of receiving the returned item. Please allow additional time for your bank or card provider.

 

Faulty or Incorrect Items

The Perfume Empire always aims to deliver exactly what you ordered.

On rare occasions, mistakes can happen. If they do, we act quickly to resolve the issue and make things right. If an item is faulty or incorrect:

Contact us immediately with your order number.

We will inspect the item and If confirmed, we will issue a full refund, including reasonable return postage costs.

Faulty items will be replaced or fully refunded, including reasonable return postage costs.

 

Important Notes

  • Items damaged during international transit are not eligible for refunds
  • Parcels returned due to insufficient address details require repayment of postage
  • Returned goods must be complete and securely packaged

 

Exchange Policy

To exchange an item:

  • Follow the standard returns process
  • Place a new order once the original item is returned

Exchanges are subject to stock availability. A re-postage fee applies unless the exchange is due to our error.

 

Return Responsibility

Returned items remain the customer’s responsibility until received by us.
We strongly recommend using Recorded or Tracked Delivery.

Return delivery costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.

Any discounts or promotions may be reversed if order value conditions are no longer met.
